Beef And Broccoli Lo Mein

Beef and Broccoli Lo Mein combines tender beef, vegetables, and noodles in a homemade sauce. This beef Lo Mein is one of my favorite 20 minute meals for those busy weeknights when your craving Chinese food. Skip the take out and enjoy this delicious weeknight dinner recipe that everyone will love!

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz. spaghetti noodles
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 8 oz. flank steak, cut into slices
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 cup shredded carrots

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 tsp. sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • In a small mixing bowl whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, ground ginger, red pepper flakes, and sesame seeds. Set aside.
  • Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add spaghetti noodles and cook according to package.
  • Add broccoli florets to the boiling water of noodles the last 5 minutes and cook until tender. Drain noodles and broccoli.
  • While the pasta is cooking cook steak. Add olive oil to a medium-large skillet. Add steak and cook until it is done and no longer pink.
  • Add minced garlic and sliced carrots to skillet and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  • Add cooked spaghetti noodles, broccoli, and sauce to the skillet. Toss to combine all ingredients well.
  • Serve immediately with extra sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish.
