Tzatziki Sauce

This fresh tasting Homemade Tzatziki Sauce is a creamy cucumber sauce made with full fat Greek yogurt, fresh herbs and lemon juice, minced garlic, grated cucumber, and simple seasonings.

Ingredients
  

  • cups cucumber (unpeeled and grated)
  • 2 cups plain Greek Yogurt (full fat)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Tablespoons fresh dill (minced)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ Teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Using the large holes on a box grater, grate the unpeeled cucumber. Transfer to a fine-mesh strainer and press down with the palm of your hand to remove excess moisture and set aside.
  • In a medium mixing bowl add Greek yogurt, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, fresh dill, salt, and black pepper.
  • Add in grated cucumbers to yogurt sauce and stir everything together. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or until you are ready to serve it.
