Baked Beans are a summertime staple in our house. They are perfect for cookouts, picnics, and potlucks. This recipe is my go-to baked beans recipe. It is easy to make and always turns out great. The secret to this recipe is in the sauce. Give this recipe a try the next time you are looking for an easy and delicious side dish. You won't be disappointed!

  • 3 53 oz. cans pork and beans, drained
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 2 Tbsp. worschestire sauce
  • 6 drops liquid smoke
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 lb. thick cut bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 small yellow onion


  • Cook bacon, allow to cool and chop into big chunks.
  • Add diced onion to bacon grease and sauté until onions become soft and fragrant.
  • Preheat oven to 350F and lightly spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl combine Ketchup, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, mustard, liquid smoke, worsterchire sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, cooked bacon, and sautéed onions.
  • Open each can of beans and drain the standing liquid off the top. Add beans to the sauce mixture and gently stir until all ingredients are combined well.
  • Pour beans into prepared baking dish and bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until warm throughout. Serve immediately, Enjoy!
