Instant Pot Corn On The Cob

Instant Pot Corn On The Cob is the perfect summer side dish. It comes out buttery and cooked to perfection every time. Once you cook fresh corn in a pressure cooker, you will never make it any other way. The secret to this easy Instant Pot recipe is the garlic butter spread that is added after cooking.

  • 6 ears of fresh corn on the cob
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • ½ cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried parsley


  • Cut the ends off of the corn and remove husk and silk from the corn.
  • Add the trivet to Instant Pot or pressure cooker. Then pour in chicken broth, Add ears of corn and place ¼ cup of butter on corn.
  • Place the lid on your pressure cooker and lock into place. Turn pressure release valve to sealing, then select pressure cook, high pressure. Cook for 3 minutes. It will take 10-15 minutes for the pressure to build up. Before the cooking timer starts to count down. When timer runs out turn release valve to release. Wait for safety valve to drop before removing lid.
  • In a medium bowl add ¼ cup softened butter, onion powder, black pepper, dried parsley and garlic. Mix together until well incorporated.
  • Once corn is done cooking, remove with tongs and brush garlic butter mixture on corn while it is still hot.
  • Salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!
