Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots

Glazed carrots with honey, brown sugar, and a pinch of garlic for a sweet and savory twist. These soft and tender carrots will melt in your mouth as you devour this wholesome side dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs baby carrots (rinsed)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • In a large skillet, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  • Once the water begins to boil, add in carrots, simmer for 10-12 minutes until carrots are tender. Drain off the water when done cooking.
  • Lower heat to medium and add butter and garlic. Saute the garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add honey, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat carrots in the glaze.
  • Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the glaze starts to thicken.
  • Sprinkle the carrots with fresh parsley and serve warm.
