This Easy Strawberry Shortcake Donut Recipe is possibly the easiest strawberry shortcake recipe around. Made with bakery donuts stuffed with homemade whipped cream, and fresh juicy strawberries. They are such a fun weekend breakfast or easy dessert recipe that everyone will love.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lbs. strawberries washed, huled, and chopped
  • 3-4 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 6-8 cake or glazed donuts cut in half

Instructions
 

  • Wash, hull, and chop your strawberries.
  • Place strawberries in a medium size mixing bowl and add sugar. Stir to coat well and place them in the fridge until you are ready to assemble your shortcake.
  • In a large mixing bowl beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla with a hand mixer until soft peak.
  • Cut donuts in half, top with strawberries, whipped cream, the other half of the donut, then more whipped cream and strawberries. Enjoy!
