Monte Cristo Slider dusted with powdered sugar and topped with raspberry jam

Monte Cristo Sliders

April King
Monte Cristo Sliders are so easy to throw together and taste amazing. They are the perfect appetizer sandwiches, made with ham, turkey, swiss cheese, baked in a rich buttery topping, and dusted with powdered sugar. Just like the classic Monte Cristo Sandwiches, these sliders come out crispy on the outside, and taste delicious served with a side of raspberry jam!

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. sweet Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1/2 lb. sliced deli ham
  • 1/2 lb. sliced deli turkey
  • 12 slices swiss cheese
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup raspberry jam for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish
  • Slice the entire package of Hawaiian rolls in half, to form two separate halves. Do not separate each roll individually.
  • Place bottom half of rolls into prepared baking dish.
  • Start by Layering sliced turkey, then ham, and top with swiss cheese.
  • Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls and lightly press.
  • In a small mixing bowl whisk together melted butter, beaten egg, and Dijon mustard.
  • Pour butter and egg mixture over top of the sliders and spread evenly.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until sliders are golden brown and crispy. Watch closely, if the tops start getting too brown, place a sheet of tinfoil over top of rolls.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.
  • Serve sliders warm or at room temperature with a side of raspberry jam. Enjoy!
