Slow Cooker Shredded Asian Style Pork Recipe

Slow Cooker Shredded Asian Style Pork is an Asian inspired twist on a traditional pulled pork recipe. Your pork shoulder is cooked with flavorful soy sauce and garlic, sweet honey and brown sugar, tangy rice wine vinegar, and sweet and salty hoisin sauce in the slow cooker for a flavorful, Asian style pork dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs. pork shoulder or butt
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 3 tsp. minced garlic

Instructions
 

  • Spray slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Place pork shoulder or butt into prepared slow cooker.
  • In a small mixing bowl whisk soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, rice wine vinegar, hoisin sauce, and minced garlic. Pour over top of pork.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours then use a fork to shred pork. Mix shredded pork with sauce and cook an additional 3 minutes.
  • Serve with rice, noodles, or on buns. Garnish with shredded carrots, cabbage or green onions if desired. Enjoy!
