Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. sirloin steak, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 cups low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp. minced garlic
  • 3 Tbsp. rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl whisk together soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, sesame seeds, and cornstarch until combined. Set aside.
  • In a large skillet heat butter over medium-high heat and add steak.
  • Cook steak until it reaches your desired temperature. I prefer my steak to be cooked medium well.
  • Once steak has reached desired temperature, pour teriyaki sauce over steak and bring to a boil.
  • Once sauce begins to thicken remove from heat and serve with rice and broccoli if desired. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Enjoy!
