Easy Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

This Easy Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe is a simple but delicious weeknight dinner entree that is even better than take out! With tender, juicy chicken breasts coated in a sweet and tangy sauce, this Asian inspired chicken dish will be a new family favorite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breast
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 4 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. cold water
  • sesame seeds (optional)
  • diced green onions (optional)
  • rice or noodles for serving

Instructions
 

  • Lightly spray the inside of slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
  • In a small mixing bowl whisk soy sauce, ketchup, honey, and minced garlic until well combined.
  • Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker and pour honey garlic sauce over chicken.
  • Cover and cook for 3-4 hours on high or 4-5 hours on low.
  • Once chicken is cooked, remove from the slow cooker and shred.
  • Mix cornstarch and cold water in a small cup, stir into the sauce. Cover and allow to cook for an additional 10 minutes allowing the sauce to thicken.
  • Add chicken back to the slow cooker and stir to combine. Serve over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Enjoy!
