Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Who doesn't love a good meatball? Especially when they're made out of Swedish meatballs! These Salisbury Steak Meatballs are the perfect comfort food, plus they're easy to make and taste delicious. This meal idea is a great way to use up any leftover meatballs you might have. So, give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

Ingredients
  

  • 36 oz. bag frozen meatballs I love swedish meatballs
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can low sodium beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • parsley for garnish
  • mashed potatoes or egg noodles for serving

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet and add frozen meatballs.
  • Sauté meatballs until warm throughout. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In a medium size mixing bowl whisk beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • Add unsalted butter and sliced onions to skillet and sauté until soft and fragrant.
  • Once onions are soft, slowly pour beef broth mixture into skillet and cook on medium-high heat for 3-5 minutes or until sauce starts to thicken.
  • Add meatballs back to the skillet and toss them until they are covered in gravy.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or egg noodles. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
