Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches

Slow Cooker Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches are perfect when your in need of an easy family dinner recipe. Made with tender beef, onions, bell peppers, and melted cheese, piled on a toasted hoagie bun. This is a delicious meal that can be made any night of the week.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb. beef roast chuck or pot roast
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 10.5 oz. low sodium beef broth
  • 10.5 oz. French onion soup canned
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 bell peppers I like red and green
  • 1 jar cheese whiz spread
  • 8 hoagie buns
  • mayonnaise optional

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season beef with salt and pepper to taste and brown for 2-3 minutes on each side and place in the slow cooker.
  • Add beef broth, French onion soup, Worchester sauce, sliced onions, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
  • Slow cook on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
  • Add sliced bell peppers to the slow cooker the last 45 minutes of cooking.
  • When beef is fully cooked and tender, remove and slice or shred.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise, then add beef, peppers and onions, and add a layer of melted cheese whiz. Enjoy!
