Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Frosting

  • 10 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

Cookie Dough

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl combine cake mix, eggs, oil, and cinnamon until well combined. Dough will be thick.
  • Scoop out 1 heaping Tbsp. of cookie dough and place on prepared baking sheet. I like to use a little butter on my hands to make rolling dough easier.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, remove from oven and allow to cool.

Frosting

  • To make the frosting add butter, cocoa powder, and milk to a medium saucepan over medium heat and whisk until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar and vanilla until frosting becomes smooth.
  • Allow frosting to cool and start to set up.
  • Evenly spoon frosting over cookies, add chopped pecans if desired. Enjoy!
