Ingredients

  • 24 count Hawaiian Rolls, cut in half lengthwise
  • 24 meatballs, frozen
  • 24 oz. jar marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups shredded parmesan cheese divided
  • 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350F and lightly spray a 9×13 baking dish.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add frozen meatballs and marinara sauce. Cover and cook until meatballs are no longer frozen and warm throughout. Once meatballs are warm remove from heat.
  • While meatballs are warming, lay Hawaiian rolls on a cutting board. With a serrated knife slice the whole slab of rolls in half horizontally. Remove the top slab of rolls and set aside.
  • Reserving the heated marinara sauce, spoon a warmed meatball on each individual roll section.
  • Cover meatballs with shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Place top slab of Hawaiian rolls over meatballs and cheese.
  • In a small mixing bowl whisk together melted butter, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Brush the top of the rolls with butter mixture.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese over rolls.
  • Cover and bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 5-7 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from oven and serve with reserved marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
