This dinner roll recipe is very simple and can easily be made with a weeknight dinner. To start making this dinner rolls recipe, combine your water, sugar, and yeast in the bowl of your stand mixer, and let it sit for a few minutes. Next, you will add in the oil, salt, and egg. After this, you will start adding your flour, but make sure that you add it in 1 cup at a time. Once everything is combined, let your stand mixer knead the dough for 4 minutes. One of my favorite parts of this recipe is you can take a quick break while your mixer is doing the work! Once the dough is soft, coat your hands with cooking spray and divide the dough into 15 balls. You will put these into your prepared 9×13 dish and cover them with a towel to let them rise. To make sure that they rise enough, set the pan on top of the oven, then start preheating. Once they have risen, brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle garlic powder, parmesan, and parsley on top, and pop them in the oven. As soon as the rolls are a beautiful shade of golden brown, they are ready to enjoy!

How to Make Your Parmesan Dinner Rolls
Step 1: Line a 9ร13 baking pan with parchment paper, or lightly grease.
Step 2: In the bowl of a stand mixer combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Allow to proof for approximately 2-5 minutes.
Step 3: Add oil, salt, egg, and flour (1 cup at a time). Mix with a stand mixer until combined. Let your stand mixer do the work and let it knead the dough for about 4 minutes. The dough will be fairly soft. (Adding too much flour will make the rolls dense. You might want to add more flour until the dough isn’t sticky, but you want to mix in just enough flour so that you can form it into balls with oily hands).
Step 4: Spray your hands with baking spray and shape the dough into 15 individual balls.
Step 5: Place dough in a prepared 9ร13 baking dish and cover with a dish towel.
Step 6: Preheat oven to 375 F, place the pan on top of the oven, and let the dough rise while your oven is preheating.
Step 7: In a small mixing bowl combine garlic powder, cheese, and dried parsley.
Step 8: Brush raised rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder, cheese, and parsley.
Step 9: Bake in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the top of the rolls are golden brown. Enjoy!

Popular Substitutions & Additionsย
Olive oil can be used in place of vegetable oil in this dinner roll recipe. I recommend using grated parmesan cheese on these rolls, but you can also use finely shredded parmesan.
Garlic Parmesan Rolls Storage & Leftovers
Leftover garlic parmesan rolls can be stored in a sealed container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can enjoy leftover garlic parmesan rolls at room temperature or reheat them in the microwave. I like to heat them with a damp paper towel over the top to help keep them from drying out.
