This Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a creamy, delicious mixture of seasoned Italian chicken, tasty bow tie pasta, cream cheese, and zesty parmesan all quickly cooked in the Instant pot for an easy weeknight dinner.

Add in the fact that this one has creamy alfredo with chicken and pasta, and I think we have a winner for a new favorite weeknight dinner. You will love how simple it is to throw everything into the Instant Pot and then have your family’s dinner ready in only a few minutes.

Your chicken gives this dish a ton of flavor. It is seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Once it is cooked, you’ll add your pasta and your chicken broth, which gives this meal extra flavor and keeps it from drying out. Ingredients For Your Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo Cream Cheese Chicken

  • Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt, Black Pepper, Paprika, Italian Seasoning, Onion Powder, and Garlic Salt
  • Bow Tie Pasta (or similar size pasta like Penne or Rigatoni
  • Chicken Broth
  • Cream Cheese
  • Parmesan Cheese

How To Make Instant Pot Alfredo Pasta Recipe

  1. Turn your Instant Pot to saute and add olive oil.
  2. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic salt. Add them to the Instant Pot and brown both sides for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove chicken and cube into 3/4″ piece and add back into the Instant Pot.
  4. Add the chicken broth and pasta. Press the pasta down into the broth until completely covered.
  5. Put the lid on Instant Pot and set the valve to sealing. Select pressure cook high, high pressure. Set a time to cook for 3 minutes. This will cook the pasta to a perfect al dente. If you like a softer pasta, add 1 minute to the cooking time.
  6. When pasta is done cooking, turn off the Instant Pot and quickly release the pressure with the pressure release valve. Remove the lid and gradually stir in Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, and water. Make sure to mix all ingredients well until everything is melted together.

If you have leftover Instant Pot Chicken, Alfredo Pasta, it will last for two days if properly stored in the fridge. You will want to store it in a completely sealed container. To reheat individual portions, place them in the microwave for 2-3 minutes or until warm. To reheat a larger batch, place it in the oven at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until warm.

You can also freeze your Chicken Alfredo Pasta. Once it has completely cooled, transfer it to an air-tight, freezer-safe container. Before you are ready to eat it, thaw it completely in the fridge, then reheat as directed above.

For this recipe, you’ll want to use grated parmesan. It has a much better flavor and blends into the mixture a little better.

Can I use rotisserie chicken instead of chicken breasts?

Sure, but keep in mind that this changes the steps of the recipe and the timing. Once it is shredded and seasoned, put it in the Instant Pot and start with the chicken broth and pasta step.

Can I use garlic powder instead of garlic salt?

No, for this Instant Pot Chicken Alfredo, you’ll want to use garlic salt. It has a more powerful, zesty flavor than just the garlic powder.
