What to Serve/Pair with Your taco bubble up bake

This is a Mexican-inspired dish, your choices of sides should stay in that realm of cuisine to make sure the flavors pair well together. Since this can be a heavier dish with savory meat and biscuits, some lighter sides would be great to offset the filling main course and make sure everyone can still enjoy them as well.ย

For example, Mexican street corn is a great choice that is full of tangy flavors and sweet corn. You can simply top the sweet corn with mayonnaise, chili powder, and cotija cheese and call it a day! You could also go with a side of cowboy caviar and chips!

For dessert, a simple fruit salsa with cinnamon sugar chips is a fun and delicious way to end the meal!

Gluten-free substitutions โ€“ If someone has a gluten allergy you can still use this recipe but you can replace the biscuits with this amazing brand. Bobโ€™s Red Mill has a gluten-free biscuit mix that can be used as a replacement in this recipe.

Best Way To Store Taco Bubble Bake Leftover

This was a hit! I tweaked just a little and added some red pepper flakes, onion powder, and seasoned salt to the tomato soup. I cut the biscuits into eight pieces because it was easier lol. Baked it for the same time with the smaller pieces, and it turned so great!! I’m in love with this, and it’s so quick and easy! My son ate one bite and said this has to be something we make a lot ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m thinking next time I might try to add some refried beans in with the tomato soup? Thank you for sharing!

    • I’m so happy you all loved it. Thank you for sharing your additions, I would love to hear how it turns out with refried beans.

I tried with refried beans and the flavor was great, but it was a bit mushy. If texture is an issue don’t try it. I have made it a few times now, and this time I added black beans with rice and tomatoes as a topping. That adds a nice flavor and not too mushy for picky eaters! Again, thanks so much!! We love this recipe!
