Ritz Cracker Chicken is a classic feel-good Dish. When I think of comfort food this casserole is what I think of. It’s full of delicious flavor yet easy to throw together. It only calls for a few ingredients, but they are the perfect blend of flavors! It’s perfect served over rice or baked potatoes.
Shopping List For Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole
- Cream of Mushroom Soup
- Cream of Chicken Soup
- Sour Cream
- Ritz Crackers
- Poppy Seeds
- Butter or Margarine
- Salt and Black Pepper
How to make Ritz Cracker Chicken Casserole
- Preheat oven to 350.
- First, mix together in a medium sized bowl 1 can of Cram of Mushroom Soup, 1 Can of Cream of Chicken Soup, and 1 cup of sour cream.
- Next, place 6-8 boneless skinless chicken breasts in a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch rectangular baking dish.
- Pour sauce mix over the top of the chicken breasts.
- In a large plastic bag crush a 6 inch stack of Ritz Crackers. Crush in the bag and add 2 tsp. of poppy seeds, and 1/2 square of melted butter or margarine. Sprinkle over the top of chicken and sauce.
- Bake for 50-60 min.
If serving over potatoes start baking potatoes 10-15 minutes before baking Casserole, depending on size. If you are serving over rice start cooking while casserole is baking. Rice start time depends on whether you are using brown or white rice.
