Soft and chewy Monster Cookies are loaded with peanut butter, oats, M&M’s, and chocolate chips. These classic cookies are thick, filling, and irresistible. They’re a mix between an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and a peanut butter cookie, and will become a favorite with family and friends.
I love making cookies, and these Monster Cookies are at the top of my list. I love the texture from the oats, the crunch from the M&M’s, and the slight peanut butter flavor. They are so easy to make and bake up soft and thick. Some of my other favorite cookie recipes are our Key Lime Cookies, soft and fudgy Brownie Cookies, and our Red Velvet Cookies With Cream Cheese Frosting. If your looking for the best cookie recipe, you have come to the right place.
Ingredients for Monster Cookies
- Butter: I always use unsalted butter in my recipes to control the salt content.
- Sugar: This recipe calls for a combination of white granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Peanut Butter: This recipe calls for creamy peanut butter life Skippy or Jiff.
- Vanilla: Pure vanilla or vanilla extract both work well.
- Eggs: This recipe calls for one egg, medium-large.
- Flour: All-purpose flour works better in this cookie recipe.
- Oats: I like to use Old Fashioned Oats for that chewy texture everyone loves.
- Baking Powder and Baking Soda: Both baking powder and baking soda are leavening agents and help give you the chewy texture.
- Salt: Salt brings out the sweetness in these cookies.
- Chocolate Chips: Semi-sweet for milk chocolate chips both work well.
- M&M’s: I like to use regular M&M’s, but you can also use the mini M&M’s.
