Serve this soup with a side of crackers or bread. I like to make this Easy 90 Minute French Bread and dip it in my soup. You could also serve this chicken parm soup with a salad, like this Easy Autumn Pear Salad with Honey Mustard Dressing.

Popular Substitutions & Additions

I like to buy rotisserie chicken when it is on sale, shred it, and keep it in the freezer. When I’m ready to make this soup, I’ll just take out a bag of frozen shredded chicken the night before and let it thaw.

Feel free to replace the rotini pasta with a gluten free option.

If you don’t want your soup to be quite so chunky, you can use crushed tomatoes in place of the diced tomatoes.

Storage & Leftovers

This chicken parmesan soup can be stored in the fridge for up to three days in an air-tight container. To reheat, either heat in a pot on the stovetop, or microwave individual portions until warm.

You can also freeze this chicken parm soup! Once it has cooled completely, transfer it into a sealed, freezer safe container (I use a gallon size ziploc bag), and place it in the freezer. It will last for up to 3 months if stored properly. Completely thaw your chicken soup in the fridge before reheating.
