  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 3 tsp. minced garlic
  • 2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 24 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes, more or less to taste
  • 16 oz. penne pasta, cooked al-dente
  • parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions
 

  • Cook pasta al-dente according to package directions.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt butter and add onion. Cook until fragrant and onions become translucent in color.
  • Add garlic and oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes and cook, stirring frequently for 1 minute.
