What other kind of steak can I use in this recipe?

If you want to use something other than sirloin steak. I recommend a cut a meat that is not tough and has good marbling through out it.

  • Tender Loin: Has less fat and can be easily over cooked.
  • New York Strip: Has a good ratio of fat marbling and has a lot of flavor.
  • Rib-eye: Comes from the center of the ribs and has the most marbling.

Tips and Faqs

Is It Better To Cook My Steak With Oil or Butter?

Butter has a smoke point of 300 degrees F. and olive oil has a smoke point of 350 to 400 Degrees F. Depending on the quality of the olive oil. The higher smoke point of olive oil makes it a better choice to pan sear your steak bites. Because no like flavor of burnt butter and the way it makes your kitchen smell.

What Kind Of Pan Should I Use?

My go to for cooking any type of meat on the stove top is a cast-iron skillet. I like how they heat up more evenly and do not warp at high temperatures.

Why Do I Need To Preheat My Pan?

It is important to preheat your pan. So that the outside of the meat gets a sear on it. This will let you fry the steak and not boil it in its own juices. This will also help the meat say juicy and tender on the inside.
