Can I make sweet and sour meatballs in the crock pot?
Of course you can! For best results prepare the sauce in a sauce pan on the stove before adding it to the crock pot with your meatballs. Set your crock pot on low and cook for 3-4 hours. Enjoy!
Can I use Homemade meatballs?
Yes! I prefer to use frozen meatballs when I’m short on time, but if you are in the mood for making your own meatballs, you can find an easy recipe for homemade ground turkey meatballs here. Just follow the instructions for making the meatballs, but skip the sticky Asian glazed sauce.
Can you freeze sweet and sour meatballs?
Yes, these meatballs freeze beautifully. Simply add frozen meatballs and sauce to a zip lock bag and place in the freezer. I recommend preparing the sauce in a saucepan on the stove and letting it cool completely before adding it to the zip lock bag. When you are ready to serve, remove from the freezer and dump the entire bag in your crock pot. Cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring occasionally.
